Asma J. Warsi, Esq
Rajan Legal is proud to welcome Judge Asma Warsi, an accomplished legal professional whose professional experience spans immigration law, family law, corporate law, municipal court practice, family law mediation, civil litigation, and estate planning.
Judge Warsi was appointed as a Municipal Court Judge in Edison Township in May 2023 and will continue in that role. She joins Rajan Legal after an impactful tenure as Program Director of Immigration Services at Catholic Charities, Diocese of Metuchen, where she led immigration programs and advocacy initiatives. She is an experienced immigration practitioner specializing in removal defense, asylum and humanitarian relief, and family-based immigration petitions. While in private practice at the Law Offices of Asma Warsi, she also handled residential and commercial real estate transactions and SBA loan closings.
Judge Warsi’s distinguished career began as an Assistant District Attorney in the Appeals Bureau of the Bronx County District Attorney’s Office. She has also held leadership roles in numerous non-profit organizations throughout New Jersey, including past Board Chair of Manavi and Consulting Immigration Attorney with the Puerto Rican Action Board.
Her contributions extend beyond practice and the bench. Judge Warsi is a published author and active volunteer, having co-authored India and Pakistan on the Brink: Considerations for Truth, Reconciliation and Forgiveness in Forgiveness and Reconciliation: Psychological Pathways to Conflict Transformation and Peace Building (Springer), and Professional Balance: Not Just a Women’s Issue in New Jersey Lawyer Magazine.
Judge Warsi earned her B.A. in History and Middle Eastern Studies from Rutgers University, an M.A. in Near Eastern Studies from New York University, and her J.D. from Rutgers University School of Law, Newark.
